28 years flies by...

A little history:

I began painting in 1996 at the University of Akron (Ohio) as a "student painter". I imagined it would just be a temporary job, as I knew little about painting, especially within the gigantic University buildings that I was assigned to. A woman named Jackie took me under her wing, and showed me how to paint with a brush and a roller, install commercial wall coverings, spray muti-spec, paint long corridors with the help of bakers scaffolding, and most importantly, how to clean out my paint brush.

8 years later, in 2004, I had mastered Faux Finish painting, beginning with marble finishes. By then, builders were hiring me to add marble accents to their new homes, and venetian marble plaster finishes were trending.

By 2014, Faux Finishes were trending, and I was often asked to step away from traditional house painting, to add Faux Finishes to many types of spaces. Bathrooms, Kitchens, even wine cellars were commonly dressed up with a specialty finish. I was able to utilize my experience with both painting, and art to match colors, and create imaginative finishes.

Today I find myself just as enamored with marble finishes as I was in 2004. I now have a professional portfolio, and the resources to create just about any "natural stone" look with a glossy, polished finish. My goal is to also offer the same kindness and professionalism that Jackie did for me, in 1996, by training the next generation of painters. If you find yourself looking for ways to create ambiance, and natural beauty in your home or business, reach out to me, I would be happy to advise which finish would compliment your space the best.
